I can haZ? Poor Seren, all he hears about is me wanting a title.. LALAR MUST HAVE A TITLE! Why? Well.. cause Seren has one and I want one too! *pouts* His is better though, "Hand of Adal" *sigh*
Anyways, I am posting this as my own or anyone else's guide to titles :P
Titles Obtainable After Echoes of Doom, but Before Wrath * “________ of the Shattered Sun.” Yep, the 1000g gold sink title will remain in the game, from all reports, and while right now it might be a waste, reportedly questing from 70 to 80 will earn you nearly 10,000 gold. At that point, shelling out a grand for a title might not seem like the huge waste of cash that it is now.
o How to get it: Complete A Magnanimous Benefactor upon reaching Exalted with the Shattered Sun Offensive.
* “Justicar ________” (Alliance)Got a lot of time and patience on your hands? Willing to listen to noobs QQ’ing about how you lost Arathi Basin because no one made mage tables? Then sir or madam, Justicar might be for you.
o How to get it: Reach exalted with your side’s three battleground factions. For you allies, that’s Silverwing Sentinels, Stormpike Guard, and The League of Arathor. Yes, this is a huge pain in the ass for every faction except the ones in AV. But hey, you’ll get a lot of honor, a lot of marks, and a new tabard.
* “Ambassador ________.” Beloved of the cities, welcome in every nation in Azeroth (at least those friendly to your faction), the Ambassador is not an easy title to obtain - or rather, it’s easy, it’s just very time-consuming. This title also has the cool background of being one that was added specifically because of player requests! (Shameless plug: this is the one I’m most busily working towards.)
o How to get it: Complete Ambassador of the Alliance. For the Alliance, you’ll be turning in a lot of runecloth to Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus, Gnomeregan Exiles, and The Exodar. You’ll likely end up doing lots of the repeatable Runecloth turn-in, but you can also obtain valuable reputation by doing quests in the starting area for each race, as well as by doing the repeatable turn-ins in Alterac Valley. So if you’re working on Justicar heck, you may as well work on Ambassador too! This will also open up every city’s mounts for you - a huge help towards Leading the Cavalry - as well as completing Exalted rep achievements at least up to 5 Exalted Reputations.
* “Bloodsail Admiral _______.” Yarrrrr!
o How to get it: Complete Avast Ye, Admiral!, the capstone of the Bloodsail Buccaneers questline. I’m also pretty sure that if you got the hat, you will be retroactively awarded this achievement and the title to go with it. Now start making nice with the goblins again, Admiral!
* “_______, Guardian of Cenarius.” Are you a treehugging hippie? Have I got the title for you!
o How to get it: Complete Guardian of Cenarius, which simply requires exalted with Cenarion Circle and Cenarion Expedition. Easy peasy.
* “_______ of the Alliance.” Hey, do you like killing people? I mean really, really, really like killing people? Specifically people from the opposing faction? Honorably? Not ganking? Here’s your title… eventually.
o How to get it: Get 100,000 honorable kills.
* “_______ the Diplomat.” Grinding exalted with five factions that you’re probably already at honored or revered with not enough of a challenge for you? How about grinding exalted with three factions that initially hate you?
o How to get it: Complete The Diplomat (Horde) or The Diplomat (Alliance), requiring you to get exalted reputation with Timbermaw Hold, Sporeggar, and either the Mag’har or Kurenai. Hey, if nothing else, this is another step towards finishing Leading the Cavalry.
* “_______ the Hallowed.” Hallowed be thy name! It’s another world event achievement and title.
o How to get it: Complete Hallowed By Thy Name, which is a meta-achievement; like usual, some of it you can already have completed, and the rest you can complete in a couple weeks when Hallow’s End rolls around! UPDATE: Word has it that in 3.0.3, the ridiculously difficult A Mask for All Occasions is being removed from this title’s requirements. Now you only have to worry about getting your Sinister Squashling and Hallowed Helm from the Horseman.
* “_______ Jenkins.” That’s right - another Leeroy Jenkins tribute. You, however, will have to be slightly successful than the eponymous Mr. Jenkins… or at least a bit deadlier.
o How to get it: Complete Leeeeeeeeeeeeeroy!, which requires you to kill 50 Rookery Whelps in 15 seconds. Reward? The surname Jenkins!
Titles Obtainable Only After Wrath, But Which You Can Start Working On Now * “Battlemaster _______.” One of WoW’s meta-achievements, Battlemaster is actually notable for being a meta-meta-achievement - it’s an achievement that requires you to complete other achievements, which in turn require you to complete other achievements. Sheesh.
o How to get it: Battlemaster. Note that those require you to complete the Master of
achievements, such as Master of Warsong Gulch. You can technically complete 4/5 of this achievement during 3.0.2, but unless they go ahead and release Strand of the Ancients (which I doubt), you’ll have to wait until November to start on Master of Strand of the Ancients.
* “Brewmaster ________.” I hesitated on adding this one, as if you didn’t start on it during Brewfest this year, you do have to wait until next Brewfest. But what the heck, you may have a step or two you can take regardless.
o How to get it: Complete Brewmaster (Alliance version). It’s another meta-achievement. Some of these you can complete now if you did the appropriate quests or items, such as Have Keg, Will Travel and Does Your Wolpertinger Linger?. Others will have to wait, such as Disturbing the Peace, and Brew of the Year (however, if you signed up for the Brew of the Month club, you’re set - just have to wait on them all to get to you). There’s also a possibility you’ll be reward retroactively for quests you completed, such as Down With The Dark Iron.
* “Chef _______.” You won’t be able to make a ton of progress on this one, but you can at least get a start, right?
o How to get it: Complete Hail to the Chef. The parts you can do prior to Wrath are The Outland Gourmet, Sous Chef, and Kickin’ It Up a Notch. Oh, and The Cake Is Not A Lie, I think. If they decide to put Grand Master trainers in the home city, those of you at 350 or higher can also complete Grand Master Cook.
* “Elder _______.” Yes, after you honor all the Elders, you become one. Trust me, it took you that long.
o How to get it: Complete To Honor One’s Elders. The odds that large parts of this will be rewarded retroactively are very good, in my opinion, but I doubt you’ll have completed the fireworks parts - and possibly not the parts requiring you to honor elders in the opposing capitals. Unfortunately, even if you’ve done the rest of it, you’ll have to wait for the Lunar Festival to honor the Elders of Northrend.
* “_______ the Explorer.” Hope your name’s not Dora. This achievement and title show the world that you really get around. Wait, that’s not right…
o How to get it: Become a World Explorer! That’s a lot of walking. You can get a head start by exploring the Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor, and Outland; however, you’ll need to wait to completely explore Northrend. Completing the final step grants you a nifty new tabard (well, technically, you only need to explore Northrend for that part) as well as your title.
* “Flame Keeper _______” or “Flame Warden _______.” Hot stuff! If you liked the Midsummer Fire Festival’s revamp, this is the achievement for you… plus it’s just a damned cool title.
o How to get it: Complete The Flame Warden (Alliance). The main reason this is one you can’t finish yet is because of Burning Hot Pole Dance and Torch Juggler, but it’s highly likely that you’ve honored the flames, desecrated and stole those of your enemies, and put the Ice Lord on ice.
* “Matron _______” (female) or “Patron _______” (male).” This is one you won’t be able to get much of anything done, but if you did Children’s Week, then you’ve got 1 step (out of 7) done.
o How to get it: Complete For the Children. Unfortunately, most of them are untrackable, so you’ll have to wait till next year, but if you finished all the quests, then you’ve got at least one pet for Aw, Isn’t It Cute?.
* “Salty _______.” Possibly going to be the most abused title ever. Please, people, be responsible with your fishing nonsense.
o How to get it: All ye salty sea dogs must first be named an Accomplished Angler. That’s right - yet another meta-achievement. Some of these will have to wait till Northrend (such as Northrend Angler and The Coin Master), but you can get a head start on several of them now - such as acquiring the skill to become a Grand Master Fisherman, or the amusingly named Old Man Barlowned and Fish Don’t Leave Footprints.
* “_______, The Argent Champion.”
o How to get it: Complete The Argent Champion, which requires you to reach exalted with The Argent Dawn (which you can do now) and The Argent Crusade (which you can do in Northrend).
* “_______ the Exalted.” Only the truly patient (or insane) need apply.
o How to get it: Get 40 reputations to exalted. 40. 40. Have fun! There’s about 39 you can get exalted with right now (as in Live, or 3.0.2).
* “_______ the Loremaster.” I’ll say it up front: Loremaster has the best tabard to go with it, ever. It’s a quest-giver’s “!” on the front, and a bunch of tiny writing on the back. You’re a walking quest! And for good reason, too…
o How to get it: Complete The Loremaster, which in turn requires you to complete a certain number of quests in each region 700 in the Eastern Kingdoms, 730 in Kalimdor, and the Outland and Northrend Loremaster achievements. You’ll have to be a real questing fanatic for this one.
* “_______ the Love Fool.” Love me, love me, saaaay that you love me…
o How to get it: Complete Fool for Love, most of which will have to wait until the actual event rolls around again. However, you may have managed to get Kwee Q. Peddlefeet, or completed the Love is in the Air questline.
* “_______ the Seeker.” Think of it as a step towards getting the Loremaster… and, in fact, you might already be a good chunk of the way towards getting this title!
o How to get it: Complete 3000 quests. Currently there are (according to Wowhead) 6177 in-game, 4019 of which can be completed by the Alliance, 3983 by the Horde… though the actual number is much lower due to a lot of repeatable hand-ins - which reportedly don’t count. So, you’ll probably be waiting for Wrath on this one too…
Now.. which title do I want... I am really close to Ambassador Lalar (hehe demands respect right?) I just need Exodar and Gnomergian Exiles rep... and those two are kicking my rear lol.. Anyways we'll see :)
~<@ Lalar
PS: Ohhh Lalar the Love Fool, OR, Flame Keeper Lalar... LMAO
